The RAC team is a diverse group of talented individuals from across Canada with skills in communications disciplines ranging from writing, editing and public relations to marketing, graphic design and digital and social media. We all share a passion for client service and doing our very best to make a positive impact for all organizations we work with.

Randall
FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT

By combining a marketing background with a passion for professional writing, Randall launched his career in 1997 and quickly amassed clients ranging from Lower Mainland Publishing’s network of community newspapers to BC Business magazineBusiness in Vancouver and major dailies The Vancouver Sun & Province. In 1999, Randall launched RandallAnthony Communications, a creative agency serving industry associations, local universities and marquee clients that included Rogers Wireless and five Government of Canada departments. In 2000, RAC joined The Globe and Mail, sparking an enduring relationship and RAC’s emergence as the largest contributor of custom content to The Globe. Today, RAC is proud to provide creative and digital marketing services to a host of organizations large and small.   

Scott
CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Scott has been designing effective communication materials for more than 30 years, including award-winning work for multiple branding and publishing firms in the Vancouver area. Several years at The Globe and Mail's WEST magazine cemented his love of publishing design early in his career. Following decades of successful work ranging from logo design and annual reports to websites and more, Scott launched his own firm in 2002. At RandallAnthony Communications Scott brings his design leadership, sensibilities and experience to a wide range of clients and projects.

Susanne
MANAGING EDITOR AND SENIOR WRITER

For more than 25 years, the written word has been central to Susanne Martin’s career– from editing a community newspaper and writing travel books, to teaching creative writing. An established author with publications in travel writing, journalistic writing, custom content and essays, Susanne never tires of hearing (and writing about) people’s stories. As an editor, she enjoys the process of looking at a subject matter and presenting it in fresh and captivating ways. Having been honoured with a number of national and North American awards for her writing and publications, Susanne still considers a reader’s engagement the ultimate reward.

Kathleen
MANAGING EDITOR AND SENIOR WRITER

With her formative years spent working on newspapers, Kathleen learned early on to respect deadlines, focus on accuracy and identify the details that make for compelling reading. During her career she has written for a variety of magazines, newspapers, websites and corporate clients. Before working as an independent contractor providing writing and editorial management services, she was the senior vice president of Western Canada's largest independently owned publishing company. An MBA from Athabasca University and a diploma in the Advanced Principles of Public Relations Practice support her understanding of clients’ operational and communications needs and how these integrate with their strategic priorities.

Chris
MANAGING EDITOR AND SENIOR WRITER

Vancouver-based writer and public relations specialist Chris Freimond began his career as a business and political journalist in Southern Africa. He is a former General Manager and Vice President of Hill & Knowlton Strategies in B.C. and was a Senior Counsellor for eight years with public relations firm Hoggan and Associates. Chris has an MBA in Public Relations and Communications Management from Royal Roads University in Victoria, B.C. and is an Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) with the International Association of Business Communicators.

Lynn
MANAGING EDITOR AND SENIOR WRITER

Backed by a MA in English from the University of Toronto, Lynn began her career as a technical writer and researcher with an environmental consulting firm. Since co-founding a Vancouver-based communications company in 1996, she has completed some 2000 writing and editing projects for clients in the corporate, public, educational and non-profit sectors. Her work encompasses articles, custom content, technical writing, marketing communications and websites.

Kathie
MANAGING EDITOR AND SENIOR WRITER

With professional experience spanning broadcasting and print journalism to communications consulting and public relations, Kathie brings diverse skill sets to the RAC team. After graduating with a bachelor of journalism (honours) degree from Carleton University, Kathie worked as a radio newscaster and a television reporter and spent a number of years as a Parliamentary Correspondent for Global Television News.Previously, she was also a vice-president with Hill + Knowlton Strategies,providing consulting services in communications and public affairs.

Marjo
MANAGING EDITOR AND SENIOR WRITER

Marjo is a Toronto-based journalist, copywriter and screenwriter. Her byline has appeared in major periodicals and magazines including The Globe and Mail, National Post and Medical Post. As a journalist and marketing copywriter, Marjo has covered a widely diverse range of fields including healthcare and medical science, technology, finance and business. Marjo wrapped up her first short film, Isle of You, in 2022 and is now working on a feature screenplay and a stage play.

Jacqueline
MANAGING EDITOR AND SENIOR WRITER

Jacqueline Massey has more than 35 years of experience as a professional writer and communicator. From her work as a journalist, covering hard news to feature articles, to tackling a myriad of assignments as a freelance writer/editor, she has honed her skills and fed her passion for narrative. She has produced content for traditional, web and social media working in corporate, public, non-profit and charitable sectors. Most recently, she has focused her talents to assist non-profits develop and amplify their communications, fundraising and public relations reach to enable them to maximize engagement with members, stakeholders and the public.

Tanya
WEBSITE AND DIGITAL DESIGN

A graphic designer and front-end web developer Tanya works in both print and web media and has produced works for private and public sector clients and a variety of audiences. She enjoys delivering content in a variety of mediums, balancing aesthetic sensitivity and implementation requirements, while maintaining consistency in tone and message. Tanya has a background in visual communication design and painting, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) and a diploma in New Media Design from the University of Alberta.

Angela
DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL MEDIA

Angela got her start in social media in 2009 writing a popular online resource for Twitter, the Ultimate Guide to Everything Twitter. She went on to write about social media for PC World’s Business Center and other tech publications and websites, while managing online communities and social media accounts for various clients. Angela has extensive corporate SEO copywriting experience, producing content primarily for the insurance, technology and telecommunications sectors. She will be part of the judging panel for the Canadian Search Awards for her second year in a row in 2021.

Shafiq
PUBLIC RELATIONS SPECIALIST

A veteran public relations professional, Shafiq has built considerable skills over more than 27 years in the business, including through his senior roles with Hill & Knowlton Strategies, Edelman and Webber Shandwick. Over the course of his career Shafiq has helped numerous corporate clients in sectors ranging from mining and oil and gas to technology, transportation, financial services and others raise brand awareness and deal with crisis management issues through effective PR and communications planning, services and management.

Ward
EDITOR AND PROOFREADER

After serving as a lexicographer and encyclopedist on the first edition of the Canadian Oxford Dictionary, Ward co-founded a communications company that provides editing and proofreading services for clients in the corporate, public, educational and non-profit sectors. Ward has a first class honours degree in English from the University of Calgary.

Nancy
GRAPHIC DESIGN AND PRODUCTION

Nancy brings more than 20 years of experience in graphic design and media production to her work at RAC. After receiving an Applied Art and Graphic Arts Production Diploma, Nancy began her career in newspapers at the Cambridge Reporter in her hometown of Cambridge, Ontario. She then worked at the Canadian Press in Toronto, moving west to the Calgary Sun and the Calgary Herald and independently for her own firm, NS Design.

Nayah
OPERATIONS MANAGER

A graduate of UBC’s Sauder School of Business, Nayah helps manage RAC’s social media, business development and operations.

Louise
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Louise manages RAC’s administration and serves as executive assistant to RAC’s founder and president..
