We are leading a movement to change the way the world works
As we step into the future, we have learned that nothing is certain except change itself. The good news: when you build a great workplace for all, every organization can rise to meet the challenge of tomorrow.
This past year, the Best Workplaces in Canada have demonstrated that building trust with all employees is one of the best investments an organization can make. The payoff is huge: happier, more engaged employees, stronger financial returns, more high-quality job applicants and less turnover.
We saw a notable but subtle shift away from traditional, top-down leadership toward a more inclusive and organic approach, which empowers employees from the bottom up. We saw senior leaders investing in technology and training to enable new ways of working in a hybrid world. We also saw front-line and mid-level leaders show up authentically for their people and embrace the important (but often overlooked) role they play in their organization’s trust-building journey.
In response, employees at the Best Workplaces reported feeling heard, supported and treated fairly.
Most significant is the progress these workplaces have made in creating great places to work for all. Every organization on this year’s list is committed to workplace inclusion, and the data shows they are inching toward parity of experience between minority and majority groups.
By enabling, celebrating and inspiring leaders and organizations to create a great experience for all people, no matter who they are or what job they do, we’re creating more resilient, successful and sustainable organizations.
This year, we’ve reached more people in Canada than ever before. Over half a million Canadian employees are represented on this year’s list. I would like to personally congratulate each and every one of the inspiring leaders at the 2022 Best Workplaces in Canada.
You are indeed changing the way the world works.
